Seared Oyster Mushroom Bowl

A savory plant-forward bowl inspired by island produce and sesame.

Method

  1. Tear large oyster mushrooms into bite-size strips. Clean and pat dry.
  2. Heat neutral oil in a wide pan. Sear mushrooms for 8–12 minutes, turning as they brown, until thoroughly cooked.
  3. Lower heat and toss with soy sauce and sesame oil for 30 seconds.
  4. Divide hot rice between two bowls. Add cooked mushrooms, cucumber, carrot, and sesame seeds. Serve immediately.
